How to Earn Gralats Effectively.
This section will cover various methods for earning gralats. The traditional way for getting gralats is cutting grass and bushes. Using bombs will increase the amount of grass you can cut at one time and is more effective. It is even more efficient if you have a horse. Have your horse eat a bomb and you will have 3 blasts to use. This method is commonly called "farming." The most effective and efficient way to farm is described below. Besides farming, there are other activities that you earn gralats from such as bug hunting, loot diving, and killing pyrats.
Farming.
Items Required: Horse, Bombs, 5 boxes or chairs, 3-4 fences or walls (you don't have to have all of this, but it is recommended).
As described above, to farm, you feed a bomb to your horse, which gives you 3 blasts to cut grass. If positioned correctly, one bomb blast from a horse will reach 5 plots grass long, and 2 wide, for a total of 10 plots of grass per blast. There are several public farms around the map, and Swamp Town of course has plenty of grass too. Gralat rates increase when more people are around, but this also runs the risk of people stealing.
If you have a house or guild house, you can prevent people from stealing by locking gralats. You can also lock gralats from yourself so you can save up. To lock a gralat in your house, double tap the gralat. This will lock the gralat from visitors (furniture editing must be unlocked). Double tap the gralat again to lock it from everyone, including yourself. Double tap it again to unlock.
Every guild house has a rectangle farming area of about 40 plots of grass. However, if you only have a player house, I recommend using the swamp themed house, because it has the most grass. The diagram above is to help you set up a farm at your guild house. The red dotted line is a fence or a wall of some kind. It needs to be on top of the first row of grass, so your horse can be right in front of it. The blue squares are boxes or chairs or something to keep your horse evenly between two columns of grass.
